For the 30th year, libraries across the country next week are highlighting books that some people have wanted removed from the shelves. Banned Books Week is promoted by the American Libraries Association as an opportunity to celebrate the First Amendment and freedom of speech and the press. 91°µÍø's Elaine Baumgartel has more.
Are there books that you don't want your kids to read? Are there books that you think should be in public libraries even though they may offend some people? We'll take your calls and host a panel discussion on banning books. You can send us an email to callinshow@kunm.org, or you can join us live on the 91°µÍø Call In Show this Thursday morning at 8am.
