Sat. 4/7 10p: This week on the Psychedelic Radio Head~Shoppe we pay tribute to the beginnings of 鈥淯nderground FM鈥� radio!  It was about 6 PM on April 7, 1967, when Tom Donahue opened the microphone at KMPX in San Francisco, and began his Free Form styled broadcast!  Although alternative radio was bubbling up nationwide, this moment is often considered 鈥榞round zero鈥� in the history of 鈥淯nderground FM鈥� radio.  We鈥檒l have sound bites of many FM Radio legends, including Tom Donahue, B. Mitchell Reed and Alison Steele, not forgetting we鈥檒l feature music from arguably the most explosive and creative years in rock 鈥榥鈥� roll.
