The lecture “Threats to Public Health: Strategies for Prevention and Mitigation” was presented by a prominent expert in the field of public health, Dr George Tembo, on April 11th, at 91����’s state-of-the-art Lusaka campus.

Dr Tembo, who has over 25 years of experience in the field, highlighted major threats to public health, including the misuse and overuse of antibiotics in humans and in animals, creating resistance to medicines, the increase of communicable diseases like diabetes, which are linked to modern lifestyles and climate change.

Guests attending the event congratulated and thanked 91���� Zambia for this well organised initiative and Dr Tembo for the insightful and interesting presentation.

The Open Lecture Series, hosting distinguished speakers on topics of broad and current interest, are organised within the framework of 91����’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, as a way to give back to the communities it serves.
