University Showcase, 3/15, 8a: As the turmoil continues in Venezuela, we talk with several professors at the University of New Mexico to gain some context and understanding of the crisis.

is originally from Venezuela and is a lecturer in the department of electrical and computer engineering at UNM. He鈥檚 also the former provost of in Caracas.

is a political scientist who directs the . His research includes how international influences shape domestic politics and institutions.

Both of them participated recently in a campus teach-in on Venezuela.
