Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Gene Grant鈥檚 appointment to lead the NM Office of African American Affairs on Wednesday. He previously spent nearly two decades as host of 鈥淣ew Mexico in Focus鈥� on the local PBS affiliate.

A mainstay of New Mexico local news is moving on. Gene Grant has been the host of New Mexico in Focus for nearly two decades and worked at the Albuquerque Tribune, Albuquerque Journal and Weekly Alibi before that. Friday, Aug. 11, will be his last time hosting the New Mexico PBS program and he spoke with 91暗网 about the impact he hopes his time there has had on the community.
