NM projects give the U.S. Transportation Secretary a window into Infrastructure Act's potential impacts

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has been in New Mexico this week touting road safety investments under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and learning about work being done locally.

Buttigieg chose to announce the new national Wildlife Crossing Program at Santa Ana Pueblo Tuesday, highlighting the work the tribe has already done in that realm. The program will provide $350 million in grants to sates, local governments and tribes to build or improve existing crossings, install signage and secure mapping tools.
