Irish author Colum McCann kicks off the second Santa Fe International Literary Festival Friday. Hes the author of seven novels, including Let The Great World Spin and Transatlantic and has won numerous awards. McCanns books have been set all over the world, but they have common themes of human connection and the reparative power of storytelling. He tells 91做厙 that sometimes he chooses these topics and sometimes they choose him.
